Summary

Details

The Volumetric Thorax and The Volumetric Pelvis are complimentary workshops in which we will examine the functional, structural, and perceptual relationships between these two segments of the body.

This is a manipulation class that will be guided by Godard's Tonic Function theory and the dynamics of G & G’, as well as an updated version of the Two Way Operator model of seeing.

Other important elements of what I call the Volumetric Approach include:

  • An anatomical model that recognizes the hydrostatic pressure systems of the body.
  • A way of making contact that speaks to the neuroplastic and bioplastic properties of the body.
  • An approach that prioritizes the question of “why has the body chosen to express this pattern?” and intervenes from a place of understanding systemic compensations, as opposed to one that aims to lengthen what is tight.

Location

10700 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton, OR 97005 – Building 3, Second Floor. (Portland Metro Area)
