This Continuing Education class is open to Certified Rolfers® and practitioners of Structural Integration who have completed an IASI-approved SI Training Program.
Advanced Structural Integration theory, body reading, body mechanics, and manual interventions taught through lecture, audiovisuals, table demo and practitioner exchange, class discussion, and class palpation regarding the Shoulder Girdle, Arms and relationship to axial complex.
Valerie Berg has been a Certified Rolfer since 1988, Advanced Rolfer since 2000 and a member of the DIRI faculty since 2003. She is also a Movement Practitioner and influenced by her history as a Modern Dancer, Hubert Godard and Yoga. She worked in Guatemala for 5 years Rolfing during a war for 5 years and thus pursued Peter Levine's trauma training after that.
She has been practicing in NM for 31 years and alternates working in San Diego, California. Tango kayaking, sculling and yoga keep her moving and interested in the vitality of our bodies continuing through the years. The joy of movement for the human body is what brought her to be a Rolfer and now continues to be what can be brought to anyone of any age through Structural Integration.
