This class will focus on cultivating and refining our manual skills, illuminating our strengths and abilities to appropriately work with ourselves and our clients within the context of SI. We will take time to discuss the diverse strengths and preferences of each individual in the class so that we can all expand our understanding of the potential of our work. The format of this class will include lectures, discussions, demos, and exchanges of sessions with a partner. We will take time to delve into each individual's "big issues" in their structures.

Come with an open mind and be prepared to have fun!

Topics of consideration

  • Being in the moment while working
  • Common misconceptions about SI such as:
  • How often to work in one area
  • How much time between sessions
  • How big the problem actually is
  • Thinking outside the series
  • What does the client want -vs- what do I think they need
  • Tracking and deconstructing complex interactions of patterns through the structure
  • Is this doing what I think it is doing?
  • Should I do fix-it work?
Plus, any topics that organically come up in class
