Experiential Exercises
Students will be guided through exercises for deepening their own body awareness.
Therapeutic Techniques
Students will pair with classmates to learn and refine sophisticated movement integration sequences. Opportunities to practice evocative language and directional movement prompts will help students gain confidence in using this interactive, dynamic, and creative style of structural integration. Detailed, step-by-step written guides will be provided for easy recall of all information presented.
Lectures and Group Discussions
Through lectures and group discussions, students' understanding will be strengthened in areas of movement theory, anatomy/physiology, and neurology of movement and coordination (including Hubert Godard’s Tonic Function Model and Gracovetsky’s Spinal Engine theory).
Prerequisites
Rolf Movement Certification is open to all SI practitioners from an IASI Recognized SI Training Program. This class is open to all interested movement practitioners from allied professions with instructor approval. This workshop offers five credits toward the 30-day Rolf Movement Certification. Rolfing SI students must have completed Phase II before enrolling in any of these Intensive Module Courses.
