Lu cannot see clients regularly, and is only occasionally able to make exceptions.. She has a network of students and graduates around the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® ### as well as the US and is working on relationships with other integrative medical providers in general via RolfingCommunity.com/survey (you can add who you know!).  ### As a former instructor at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute, she can also offer supervision/consulting for colleagues see qforlu.com/qforbiz, and tutoring for students of all hands-on professions and laypeople. ### ### Lu is licensed to practice medicine in Germany, originally with training and scope comparable to a Doctor of Osteopathy's in the US minus the hospital residency but with the same exams as the MDs. She specialized in acupuncture after medical school, then added an intensive certification training on weekends over 18 months in alignment and tonic function for functional training of stabilizing muscle groups.  ### After working in a chiropractor/naturopath's office in the 90s she opened her own practice with manual therapy, acupuncture, and movement education, mostly treating chronic orthopedic and neurological conditions. While Lu's patients appreciated the fast results and personalized self-treatment plans, in reflection, Lu found her work not what she wanted it to become when she had started her education. If most of her patients came back after months (or a year, doesn't matter) with the same or similar problems, she found that her job had not been done. ### ### Rolfing® Structural Integration adds several factors into each session (when the Rolfer® has understood the principles as Lu demands) that carry the potential of true empowerment for the client in contrast to almost any other type of treatment, whether or not it is called 'holistic'. Most important to Lu MK is learning to use gravity as the body's support instead of something to fight against. In her view, even the most sophisticated manual therapists miss that, and they treat the human body as if it is always in the horizontal, while Rolfers® bring it to the vertical, and, if they are good, into the movement patterns the client desires most to improve. ### Lu wants her clients to discover a natural, easy gait, since that can and should be what recharges most systems, hydrates joint cartilage, can even repair some degenerated structures without the need for 'homework exercises'. When she does assign suggested exercises, they are a few seconds here and there within the client's normal activities, unless the client already has routines that they can be added onto. She likes to do housecalls or even travel when possible by car, and has enjoyed going to gyms and PTs offices with her clientele.  Lu has a disability and can't offer regular availability, but please schedule a call to find out more.  ### ### ### She can borrow an office in Denver at times when she's doing better than right now when updating this listing. Often the easiest is to visit clients at their location when compensated accordingly. A massage table is rarely necessary for a first visit.  ### ### Florida visits to 'www.BalanceOrlando.com' are not planned for the future, but her mentees are excellent there.  Lu has some limitations after a brain injury so she can't handle many tasks that were routine in the past, for example email. And she had to find out the hardest way that a lot of things that give her joy had to be reduced a lot, for example Rolfing sessions and speaking to people who are important to her, particularly about current subjects. ### ### Education and consulting by phone, text, videocalls are the easiest, on the other hand, so check www.QforLu.com for most current options or schedule a phone/video  consultation right now.   It may just take a few days.  ### ### If you have time, live close enough to Boulder, CO, and you want Rolfing at low prices, please look at the top of this rolf.org page for 'Clinics'. You will be amazed how good the students' work is.  Lu is happy to talk to you about her experience as an instructor, and if you have something going on you are not quite sure with, she might just be able to give you a couple of sessions before and after you join a clinic. That way you maximize your benefits while keeping it easy on your wallet.  ###
