I've been practicing in Northern Virginia since 1980. I've completed the Rolf® Basic training in 1980 and Advanced training in 1995 and 2007. After 36 years of practice, I have  come to view Rolfing not as a technique, but as a point of view. It is an attempt to understand how bodies live and function in gravity, in physical space. My belief is that changes in physical position should increase mobility that ultimately leads to increased vitality. Overtime, the level of complexity of my clients has necessitated  a broad range of study. As a result, I have studied many different modalities; from various Osteopathic and energetic traditions and theories to biomechanics. Over the last couple of years, I have been investigating the effects of nerves on structure and function as well as biomechanical approaches that arose from Osteopathic traditions. I work with and refer to a broad range of traditional and integrative medical practitioners including medical doctors, osteopaths, chiropractors, psychotherapists, nutritionists, dentists, physical and massage therapists and acupuncturists.

I have and continue to serve in a number of leadership  capacities. I was the regional Clinical Director in the Washington, DC area for American Whole Health as well as being on their Health Care Policy Council. I am past President of the Rolf Institute and have worked with the Federation of Massage Therapy, Bodywork and Somatic Practice as well as the Board of Directors of the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage Therapy and Bodywork (NCBTMB).  I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation.
