Will Schilling, Certified Advanced Rolfer

Years of chronic low back pain brought me as a client to Rolfing Structural Integration.  When I experienced results such as complete relief from my back pain, increased body awareness, and increased self esteem, I decided to pursue a career as a Certified Rolfer.  Rolfing has also helped me to recover from two motor vehicle accidents and has kept my body free and limber to support me in physical activity. Rolfing SI has also been an incredible healing modality for my entire family.

I have had to fortune to study with a few first generation Rolfers who trained directly under Dr. Rolf such as Jan Sultan and Sharon Wheeler. Additionally, I have studied Craniosacral Therapy and Lymph Drainage Therapy, two osteopathic techniques which can be used to support the goals of Rolfing Structural Integration. ?More recently I have seen my practice transform as I have incorporated Neural Mobilization techniques to release tissue in deep and profound ways.

I believe that the crux of my work is a partnership with you and your body. In a way similiar to a midwife facilating a natural process like birth I see Rolfers as facilitating another natural process in the body: Integration or Self-Organization of the body. We do much more than just releasing tight or strained tissues; we help to get those tissues and parts of the body working together to bring greater balance to the whole. This experience varies from person to person, but it is common to hear reports of "lightness" and "easiness" in the body.

I would be glad to talk with you in person about your goals and how Rolfing? Structural Integration may help.
