I am 1994 graduate of the University of Mary with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training and Biology in 1994. I also am also a 2013 graduate of Kent State University - Ashtabula with an Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I am currently licensed in the State of Michigan as a Physical Therapist Assistant and Massage Therapist and am a Retired Athletic Trainer.
I have been working in the Physical Therapy/Bodywork field for almost 30 years including areas of Chronic Pain, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Pediatrics. I have trained in a variety of manual therapy techniques with her main emphasis on Structural Integration, Fascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Reflexology. I am an Advanced Structural Integration Practioner and trained with Emmett Hutchins. I am also is a Level 2 Certified Foundation Training Instructor which is a functional decompression technique to helping with proper body mechanics and fascial alignment.
Throughout my career my focus has been on understanding body mechanics of how the body moves and functions. I incorporate that knowledge to find the best treatment approach for my clients. My treatments include postural assessment, movement analysis, manual therapy techniques and client education. My ultimate goal is to educate clients on effective methods for improving how their body moves and functions helping reduce injury and improve overall quality of life.
